Company History
In 2002 Palmetto Residential Electric
opened our doors in Charleston, South Carolina and quickly became one of
the leading electrical contractors to some of the biggest- and
best-known names in the residential homebuilder market.
Since our inception we have experienced
a steady controlled growth adding branch locations in Myrtle Beach and
Columbia. We now serve both the residential and commercial markets in
South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia.
Our clients run the gamut from a single
homeowner needing whole home surge protection, a small custom builder, a
nationally-known tract builder, or a multi-unit apartment dwelling for
college student housing.
We treat all our clients with the same
courtesy, respect and appreciation that all customers deserve.
President/CEO Patrick Edwards
Patrick Edwards is a native of
Charleston, South Carolina, where he now resides with his wife and
children. He began his career in the electrical business at the ground
floor level and served as an electrician's helper from 1988 through
1991.
He became a full-fledged electrician in
1991 and spent the next seven years in that capacity until accepting the
position of manager with a well known electrical contractor in 1998, a
position he held until taking the leap to form his own company in 2002.
Patrick built his business the
old-fashioned way. He labored pulling wire during the day, made his
sales calls during short work breaks and in the evening did all the
bookwork that keeps a company going. He has come a long way since
accepting that job as an electrician's helper back in 1988.
Patrick currently holds master
electrician licenses in North and South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee
as well as alarm licenses in both the Carolinas. he brings 20 years of
experience with him on every project he tackles.
